Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Security Cooperation
|
Christopher Mamaux serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Security Cooperation in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Policy. Prior to joining the Department, he drove Strategy & Capital for a defense technology startup.
As DASW-SC, Mr. Mamaux led the historic realignment of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency and the Defense Technology Security Administration from OUSW-Policy to OUSW-Acquisition & Sustainment. This shift streamlined how the Department executes Foreign Military Sales and Arms Transfers for our Allies and Partners. He continues to provide critical Policy oversight for these processes, ensuring Ally & Partner capabilities align with the global demands on the Joint Force.
His strategic approach is grounded in nearly a decade of U.S. military service across Active Duty and the National Guard. His overseas service in Afghanistan anchors his vision of the Department of War’s role in U.S. foreign policy.
While serving in the IC, he supported global U.S. Government efforts in several roles. Subsequently, Mr. Mamaux remained connected to the national security space as an external consultant, providing services across strategic IC and DoW portfolios.
He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and a Master’s in International Security from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
