Northern Exposure
Sailors assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 142 perform routine maintenance on an E/A-18G Growler on the flight deck of the world's largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, as it operates in the Arctic Ocean under the Northern Lights, Sept. 2, 2025. The first-in-class aircraft carrier is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and defend U.S., allied and partner interests in the region.
