Secretary of War General Officer Announcements for March 27, 2026

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Army Col. Stephanie A. Bagley for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Bagley is currently serving as senior defense official and defense attaché, U.S. Embassy, Iraq.

Army Col. Joseph D. Becker for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Becker is currently serving as military deputy to the Director, Strategy, Plans and Policy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Army Col. John D. Bishop for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Bishop is currently serving as deputy commander (operations), 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Army Col. Robert K. Bryant for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Bryant is currently serving as chief of staff, Futures and Concepts Command, U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
