Ms. Abbey Lower serves as the Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of War for Strategic Marketing. As a member of the Senior Executive Service, she is responsible for overseeing the Department of War brand and executing marketing campaigns that support joint Military Service recruiting.

Ms. Lower brings over a decade of experience in corporate communications, branding, and politics to the Department. She previously held communications roles at Tommy Hilfiger and PVH Corp., parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, where she was responsible for corporate, internal, and executive communications. Most recently, Ms. Lower was a director at Narrative Strategies where she led highly integrated client-facing account teams across a range of industries.

Ms. Lower’s political experience includes roles as a regional finance director at the Republican National Committee and as the communications director and spokesperson for Congressman Tom Reed‘s (R-NY) successful 2018 re-election campaign.

Ms. Lower graduated cum laude from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science. She served on the Bucknell University Alumni Association Board of Directors for eight years, where she was chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee and a member of the Membership & Governance Committee. Ms. Lower continues to give back to her alma mater by mentoring current students and recent graduates.
