Estephania Gongora
Special Assistant to the Secretary of War for Protocol

Ms. Estephania Gongora, a member of the Senior Executive Service, has over a decade of experience serving as a trusted aide to elected officials in Congress, the Department of War, the Department of State, and the White House. Most recently she served as Deputy Director of Presidential Scheduling and prior to that served as Chairman Smith’s Director of Operations at the House Committee on Ways and Means.
She served the entirety of President Trump’s first term starting in the Office of the Vice President for the first half before moving over to the Department of State. There as a Senior Protocol Officer she took lead for hosted events by the President, Vice President, and Secretary of State, as well as leading Presidential Delegations that represented the President all over the world.
Following the first Trump Administration, she served the Department of Defense as contract support to the Commander of the United States European Command and Joint Staff J6 Director – in both assignments she planned and executed their strategic engagements.
During her years of service, she has liaised with over 60 countries to support over 150 international engagements both domestically and abroad for the Legislative Branch and Executive Branch.
She returns to the Department of War to lead the Office of the Secretary’s protocol team and provide expertise on protocol manners and event management to both the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of War.
Ms. Gongora is a proud alumna of Pepperdine University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Political Science.
